People can live in a house or in a flat.
In big cities we can find more housing estates and huge blocks of flats, but in small towns and in villages people usually live in houses with a garden.
I live in Encs in a house.
Town/Village life can be boring for some people but I like it.
There are so many advantages of living here. The people are friendly, the air is clean, there are no traffic jams, crowds or air pollution here and we have more privacy. We are close to the nature, we can go on a trip anytime. There are some disadvantages as well. Living in a house is expensive, we have to commute to work or to school, which means we have to get up earlier than the people in the city. There are less shops here, and no theatres or cinemas.
I live in Miskolc in a block of flats.
City life is always interesting and never boring, as there are so many places here where people can have fun or get entertained: museums, exhibitions, restaurants, pubs, cafés, cinemas and theatres. There is a variety of schools and places of work, there are a lot of shops and department stores here, though there are disadvantages as well. At rush hours there are traffic jams on the roads and streets, the air pollution is huge, there are crowds and big noise everywhere.
I live in a flat with my parents on the third floor.
In our flat there are seven rooms, a hall, a living-room, a bedroom for me, a kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet, and a lumber room. We also have a balcony where we can sit and grow plants.
On the windows there are white curtains, on the floor there is linoleum or parquet. In some flats there is a wall-to-wall carpet on the floor.
In my room there is a bed, a writing table, and a large wall unit with a lot of shelves and a built-in wardrobe (I keep my clothes there). On the shelves I keep my books, my CDs, my DVDs, a few statuettes and souvenirs. My computer is on the writing desk in front of the window (my notebook is in its own bag on a shelf). The TV and the DVD-player are in the corner, beside the wall unit. The wallpaper is white in my room, and there are a few posters on the wall. I have three potted plants in my room because I love plants. (The vacuum cleaner is in the corner behind the door.)
In the bathroom I can find the washing machine, a big tub and a washbasin, with a mirror above it. We keep the shampoo, the conditioner, the body lotion and face creams on a shelf above the washing machine. The toothbrushes and toothpaste are in a mug on the washbasin.
In the kitchen I can find a table and four chairs by the window. There are two big built-in cupboards where my mother keeps cutlery (spoons, knives and forks), plates, bowls, and also fruit and vegetables, pasta, biscuits, and other kinds of foodstuffs that don't need cooling). We have a few household appliances: a dishwasher, a sink, a fridge with a deep freezer, a cooker with an oven, and a microwave oven.
