The Irish flag
The national flag of Ireland (bratach na hÉireann - in Irish) consists of green, white and yellow. The green represents Ireland (the Gaelic traditions of Ireland), the orange represents Ulster/Northern Ireland (the followers of William of Orange), and the white represents peace between them.
Ireland
Ulster belongs to the United Kingdom.
Leinster, Connaught and Munster belong to the Irish Republic.
The shamrock is the symbol of Ireland.
Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. 17th March is Saint Patrick's Day where Irish people all over the world celebrate.
